The Head of Implementation and Insights along with Project Coordinators and Project/Research Managers, collectively make up RIWI’s Implementation & Insights Team (I2 Team). The I2 team manages custom client research projects and subscriptions to products sold by RIWI, delivering value and ensuring the client’s research is successful. Project Managers work closely with the Head of Implementation as their team lead, and collaborate with the Technical team to carry out project operations and gather insights for ongoing clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who has experience managing projects to lead this team, and contribute expertise to our company and clients.
Roles and responsibilities:
The Head of Implementation is responsible for the delivery of RIWI Projects. They will take on their own client projects, as well as lead a team of Project Managers and Research Managers.
- Manage the Implementation and Insights team
- Evaluate the skills of team members and develop growth paths to promote their career progression
- Assess the team’s capacity and time spent on various tasks and propose solutions to increase efficiency and opportunities for improvement.
- Record key learnings from client projects, time tracking and other metrics and disseminate all learnings to the I2 team, Sales team, Product team, and larger company
- Update documentation on methodology, best practices and process to share with the clients as processes in the company evolve
- Work with the Product Managers and the Senior Management team to understand future strategy directions and adapt RIWI’s implementation approach accordingly
- Communicate client needs and ideas to Product team in order to expand capabilities of the company
- Project and Research Management:
- Oversee management of deadlines and deliverables of all stakeholders, including external client teams as well as internal operational teams
- Assess all project requirements, asking key questions to ensure full knowledge & understanding of expectations
- Have a thorough understanding of RIWI technologies and partnerships, and the implications for survey design and programming, to best advise the client during finalisation of the research goals and throughout questionnaire composition
- Manage client relationships
- Data review and investigation of data anomalies
- Proactively engage with colleagues across RIWI to ensure that our policy, practice and promotion activity is underpinned by robust research evidence and achieves impact.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of statistics and research methods and implement appropriate research strategies and methods to fulfil client research needs.
- Account Management and Sales assistance
- Assist Sales Team with deals (feasibility analysis, quoting, pitches, expansions, and scoping)
- Supporting team sales for clients with active projects, aiming to expand the current work being done. Understanding client long term needs and supporting team in creating plans for future work & upsell opportunities
- Improve sales processes relating to RIWI’s professional services
Required qualifications:
- Work experience: At least 4 years of background in Project Management and an understanding of the steps and processes involved in the project lifecycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, concluding), using a hybrid approach (between Agile & Predictive)
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken English, with strong and flexible communication skills. Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with research methods – including survey design & questionnaire composition
Successful candidate will have most of:
- Strong relationship management skills, to advocate for the client, as well as negotiate / mediate
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to foresee upcoming risks, create contingency plans, and prioritise mitigation efforts
- An understanding and comfort performing stakeholder management across a variety of stakeholder types, with the ability to drive clear communication within cross functional teams (especially the ability to translate between stakeholders that possess different bodies of knowledge)
- Flexible working hours as we at times need to work with our customers in their time zones
- Knowledge of statistical programmes like R Studio, Stata, etc. and experience conducting quantitative analysis
- High emotional intelligence allowing for understanding of a wide range of needs and attitudes
- A proven track record of project leadership, success and team collaboration
- Leadership and organisational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues to bring the project to successful completion
- A good understanding of public opinion research and/or market research
