RIWI conducted the survey from March 21 to April 10, 2014 in both French and Arabic, and collected 15,020 partial responses and 3,942 complete responses to the 9 primary questions that were asked.
- 71% of respondents want to access information from the government
- 58% of respondents want to participate in the government’s decision making
- 71% of respondents indicated public information is relatively hard to access
- The purpose of accessing public information shows a heavy lean towards knowledge and capacity building (37%) and service or market creation (16%)
