1 in 3 post-secondary students who sought mental health services at their school in Canada and the U.S. report waiting weeks or months, part of the findings from a new RIWI x Toronto Star front page investigation, “Generation Distress”.
To find out the true incidence of mental health problems and student’s experiences of mental health services at their school, we gathered these data anonymously and used a method that allowed us to hear from the broadest, most diverse group of young people.
We heard from 6,000 Canadian and U.S. university and college students both pre-COVID and during COVID.
