Spawning insecurity, mass displacement, and disorder, the conflict and violence in Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen has posed new and unprecedented challenges to practitioners and policymakers. The World Bank and the German Development Cooperation have joined efforts to take a fresh look at reconstruction, development, and the transition to sustainable peace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and beyond.
RIWI contributed to this through the collection of 13,000 voices from Iraq, Libya, and Yemen, bringing fresh local perspectives on how to successfully achieve peace in their own countries.
