World Bank: Public Perceptions Survey on Extractive Industries

RIWI was commissioned by the World Bank Institute’s Governance for Extractive Industries Program to conduct a public perceptions study into the attitudes towards mining, and oil and gas industries. Fourteen resource-rich, developed and developing countries were selected for this work, and over 60,000 individuals took part. The purpose of the study was to improve governance in the oil, gas, and mining sectors in developing countries, particularly through active citizen engagement.
