RIWI Migration Data in New WFP/IOM Report

RIWI works closely with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to conduct the Migration Pulse, an initiative to understand the challenges and needs of people in transit, and to measure social cohesion between migrant and host communities in countries of interest.

The Migration Pulse data in Libya is used in tandem with the International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in the latest joint report from WFP and IOM, examining the issue through a mixed-methods, innovative, and collaborative approach. These data are used to inform humanitarian actors on the status of affected citizens, identify the most vulnerable groups, and understand the drivers of migration and the role food security plays.

RIWI continues to work closely with WFP to expand the Migration Pulse to more countries and vulnerable groups, to assist with determining effective and evidence-based interventions to improve livelihoods.
